A La Carte Services
The services outlined below can be selected a la carte, or individually. Costs for services are dependent on duration of meetings and IEI staff’s level of education. Please contact IEI directly to discuss need and a quote will be provided.
·Application Support: assistance in tackling the application. Often utilized for college applications or grad school applications
·Enrollment Services: additional assistance on admissions applications, which may include proof-reading essays, prepping for interviews, and polishing resumes.
Continued Academic Support
·One-on One Tutoring
·Project Workshop Tutoring: specific to a particular subject, typically utilized for projects (large paper review, research project review, technical report review, science fair projects, concert pieces, etc)
·EAP/ESL courses: English for Academic Purpose (EAP) is focused more at the high school levels and English as a Second Language (ESL) courses are geared to college level or above. Both courses focus on four main areas of proficiency: speaking, writing, listening, and comprehension. Courses can be tailored to student’s specific language needs.
·Study Skills Enrichment: assistance with study skills
·Time Management and Organizational Coaching: coaching on time management skills and organizational approaches
Continued Cultural Support
·Culture Mentorship: one-on-one meetings with mentor to explore American culture and practice conversational English. Originally geared towards middle school through 10th grade students, but could be helpful for socially shy older participants.
·Immersion Support: covers an array of areas that students may wish further assistance navigating American culture. Past requests include: setting up a bank account, getting a cell phone, shopping for professional clothes for work or interview, going out to eat for the first time, navigating public transportation, etc.
·Accommodations Assistance: Host family placement is part of the middle school and high school exchange programs. In America, most students live outside the family home upon entering college. For college students and older, we assist in finding and securing a dormitory or apartment. Apartments can be furnished or unfurnished.
·Professionalism Seminar: seminar on business professionalism in America
·Resume Services: polish up your resume, CV, and/or cover letter
·Interview Coaching: gain assistance and insight on interviewing
·Internship Assistance: Looking for an internship? IEI staff can help find placements.
