Mr. Eric Ong founded International Education Institute, IEI, having made initial organizational formation efforts in 2004. After IEI was officially established in 2006, Eric has served as an executive providing leadership in organizational operations, business development, and building collaborative partnerships with local and international institutions. 

​

As the international consultant and authorized institutional representative for a number of Midwestern institutions in, Eric had worked alongside the leaders from Minnesota State College and University (MNSCU), University of Wisconsin System schools also private universities to extend global outreach efforts. 

 

Eric has also been instrumental in connecting several local Minnesotan and Wisconsin institutions of higher education with more than a dozen educational institutions in China, Taiwan, Japan and Singapore. 

 

Beyond endeavors in promoting accessible international education, Eric had introduced several Chinese provincial delegations to Minnesota's state on as part of the official visit to promote international collaboration in 2012.  Later in 2015, Eric had assisted local municipal leaders to create friendly relationships with their Asian counterparts.
